Policies that help improve access to quality, affordable food in your neighborhood and reduce the costs of your monthly bills means more money in your pockets and food on the table each day.

Rent prices are soaring and wages are stuck. Greedy corporate rental companies are taking advantage of renters every single day. It's time to stabilize rent and ensure renters have more money in their pockets month to month.

The climate crisis is here and harming our most vulnerable communities. From deadly flash floods to heat waves and massive wildfires, we need aggressive and large-scale action to protect ourselves and our loved ones against the devastating impact of climate catastrophes before it's too late.

True freedom is not possible without the ability to make decisions about our own bodies and reproductive health. That is why I am running for Congress: to build on the progress we have made in the Chicago legislature and fight to protect reproductive rights by securing them in federal law.

Lives are being stolen by preventable gun violence every single day. Enough with "thoughts and prayers." It's time for unapologetic, bold action to end gun violence in our cities and communities.

If we want to drastically and materially improve the lives of our communities, we need to strengthen the working class. Immigrants are part of that. But millions have been deliberately kept undocumented so they can be more easily exploited and used as a tool to divide working people.

It's simple: our taxpayer dollars should never be used to fund genocides and war crimes. Foreign policy should reflect the will of the people, not power-hungry maniacs obsessed with war, control and mass death.

Every issue, from housing to healthcare to education, is a disability rights issue. In Congress, I would prioritize strengthening federal disability civil rights laws and regulations that eliminate barriers to access for people with disabilities, be it in housing, jobs, transportation, schools and more.

True economic repair to balance the scales, unlock opportunity and ensure we build a stronger economy for all of us. As Congresswoman, I would fight aggressively to deliver reparations for the descendants of enslaved people.

It is undeniable that queer and trans communities are facing an increase in assaults from our government and remain disproportionately impacted by our country's growing affordability crisis.

If elected, I would champion federal legislation that strengthens LGBTQIA+ rights and protects queer and trans communities from rising discrimination in housing, employment, healthcare, and more.

Corporate and special interests are a danger to our democracy, and it's time for them to be eliminated from our elections and politics. I have never and will never take money from corporate PACs, special interests, including from AIPAC, and as your Congresswoman, I would actively work to get these influences out of our politics.
