As your Congresswoman, I would fight to deliver Medicare for All and erase families’ painstaking medical debt and its effect on credit.

Medical debt is one of the leading reasons families go bankrupt. With historic cuts being made that will leave an estimated 17 million Americans without healthcare by 2034, more families –especially right here in the 7th District– will accumulate even more crippling medical debt that will damage their credit and drive them into financial black holes they may never recover from.

Without healthcare, more people will die. Families will accrue thousands in hospital and medical fees. Elders and individuals with disabilities will lack the specialized attention and care they deserve.

This is unacceptable. Healthcare is a human right that must be protected for everyone.
