Reproductive Justice

True freedom is not possible without the ability to make decisions about our own bodies and reproductive health. That is why I am running for Congress: to build on the progress we have made in the Chicago legislature and fight to protect reproductive rights by securing them in federal law.

The overturning of Roe v. Wade has had devastating consequences, particularly for communities of color. As of 2025, about a dozen states have enacted total abortion bans, and several others have imposed extremely early gestational limits that make access functionally impossible. These laws have forced many people to travel long distances to obtain care, and confusion around exceptions has resulted in patients being denied critical emergency treatment. These barriers continue to deepen existing public health inequities and put lives at risk.

As your Congresswoman, I will advance federal legislation that protects access to abortion, contraception, and IVF, and ensures no state can block someone from traveling for care. I will also push to expand federal funding for community health clinics and reproductive health providers, so that people in every community have access to safe and comprehensive reproductive health services.
