IL-07 Congressional Candidate Anabel Mendoza Receives Cook County Latino Dems Endorsement
CHICAGO, IL — Today, the Cook County Latino Democrats announced their endorsement of Anabel Mendoza in Illinois’ 7th Congressional District. Earlier this month, Anabel joined progressive candidates running across Illinois for the Cook County Latino Dems candidate forum, where she shared about her commitment to lowering health care costs, strengthening our public education system, and protecting communities from ICE’s violent assault.
“As the proud daughter of Mexican immigrants, I am honored to receive the support of the Cook County Latino Dems. For decades, our elected officials have failed working people of Chicago, including my own family. I’m not here to wait while millions of Chicagoans struggle under the weight of rising rent, health care costs that will now skyrocket, and poverty wages. We need new leaders who will meet this moment with urgency and a sole focus on delivering real results for our communities. I’m running for Congress because Chicago deserves strong leaders fighting at every opportunity to lower costs, bring investment back into the South and West sides, and fight back against the assault on our immigrant friends and neighbors,” said Anabel Mendoza.
The Cook County Latino Democrats endorses candidates who are fighting to uplift working families by championing public education, healthcare for all, affordable housing, protecting workers, and more.
“We here at Cook County Latino Dems seek leaders who are committed to serving their communities and ensuring that their voices are actively heard. Anabel exemplifies the strong, effective leadership we need in Congress. Young, vocal, and passionate, she understands that her community deserves representation and is unafraid to stand up to political figures like Trump to advocate for their needs,” said Luis Delgado, Founder of Cook County Latino Democrats.
